Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP)
Achieve an even finish with Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP)
Like Electroplating, ENP prevents corrosion and wear of steel and aluminium components. Unlike Electroplating, a main benefit of ENP is that it deposits in a totally uniform way with coating thicknesses the same at the bottom of a blind thread or a bore as they are on an exterior surface.

Electroless nickel-phosphorus plating is a chemical process that deposits an even layer of nickel-phosphorus alloy on the surface of a solid substrate, like metal or plastic. The process involves dipping the substrate in a water solution containing nickel salt and a phosphorus-containing reducing agent, usually a hypophosphite salt.
As ENP is achieved by purely chemical means, through an autocatalytic reaction, it creates an even layer of metal regardless of the geometry of the surface. Moreover, electroless plating can be applied to non-conductive surfaces.
Electroless plating has many industrial applications, from merely decorative to the prevention of corrosion and wear. It can be used to apply composite coatings, by suspending suitable powders in the bath.
We keep both High Phosphorus and Mid Phosphorus in stock.
